These rods, by legendary Dutch Angler, Willem Stolk, have been designed specifically for fishing with crankbaits. To get the best out of your crank baits, irrespective of the brand you are using, you really need a rod that is exactly right for the job.

The rods are pure quality, being manufactured on 60T carbon fibre so that every slight bump is felt through the rod. They are beautifully made and finished and even come complete with a quality River7 rod sock.

Fishing with crankbaits requires a specific approach, after all, a crankbait is made with a specific
swimming action and can reach a certain depth.
The tip action of the rod is therefore important. A tip that is too hard will destroy the action and the maximum depth will not be reached.

Within the River7 range, we have three models.
The shallow ones are often used against and between the plants. You will regularly have to knock the plants off the hook. This requires a specific action (thin band). I

f you fish up to 3 meters deep, you need a somewhat softer tip to reach the depth and to let the action of the crankbait come into its own (medium band).

You require extreme pressure on the tip if you want to get a crankbait to a depth of 4 to 5 meters. The swimming lip of the crankbait must be long to reach this depth. River7 has also developed a suitable crankbait rod for this application (thick band).
